THE KIDS DAY CIRCUS is . . .
Sparkles and spangles and glitter and glitz, thrills and chills, and oohs and aahs, magic and wonder and laughter and love, lions tigers and a bear ..... with little daredevils and tightrope walkers and dancers and clowns.
Kids Day Circus is unique in its purpose and awe inspiring in its approach. It is ever changing yet never changing and delights young and old alike with its audacity .... whatever the circus is to you, this colossal collection of children's circus acts will stretch the limits of your imagination.
Your host for this extraordinary children's circus is Jeff Mills, a young man who brings his circus dreams to life as he shares his love for the fascinating show with every member of the audience.
His boyish charm and witty one-liners make him a warm and approachable ring master for Kids Day Circus.... "I have a lot of fun doing the show", he says "and its very satisfying to see peoples faces light up in awe and delight.... especially the kids"
And now .... lets sit back and relax.... and catch his enthusiasm as we enter into the magical world of dreams come true.
Young children can join the circus without running away from home, thanks to Kids Day Circus. The ringmaster of the show will select 10 to 15 children from the audience for the thirty minute performance. although dance school students often try to win the ballerina position, no experience is necessary. Sometimes all it takes is being the right youngster to fit the many costumes of the circus... from the baggy clown suit, with polka-dot vest, to the ballerina-aerialists' pink and purple satin aprons and sequined strips of tulle, the wardrobe selection is as good or better as those of a real big top.
On stage, the children perform a variety of circus acts and some of the kids are involved with magic routines... The show ends and all the performers have a memory of joining the Kids Day Circus!

SHOW TIMES:
Varies Thursday through Sunday with 2-3 shows daily!

JOHN SCHNEIDER
SPECIAL GUEST AT THE
WORLD CHICKEN FESTIVAL PARADE

MAIN STREET
The American Red Cross-Southeastern Kentucky Chapter is pleased to announce that beloved actor, director, writer, and philanthropist John Schneider will be appearing at this year’s World Chicken Festival, on September 25-26, 2009, in London, Kentucky.

Executive Director Chris Lewis said that Schneider, who millions of fans still identify with the iconic character “Bo Duke” from The Dukes of Hazzard television series, is attending the festival in order to help raise funds for the chapter.  The Southeastern Kentucky Chapter provides disaster relief, emergency communication for Active Duty Personnel and their families, and health and safety training to the community.  The Chapter’s jurisdiction includes Laurel, Bell, Clay, Knox and Whitley Counties .

“We are absolutely thrilled that John is coming,” Lewis said.  “Not only will his appearance afford hundreds of thousands of his fans the opportunity to meet him, it will help this chapter raise the funds that it so desperately needs in order to continue to serve our communities.”

Schneider’s appearance will raise money for the Red Cross through public autograph signing and photograph opportunity sessions, in which fans may obtain autographs from and have photographs taken with the star in exchange for making minimum donations and/or merchandise purchases.

“I’m proud and honored to be partnering with the Kentucky chapter of the Red Cross.  This is where the Red Cross is needed, and this is where I’m going to help!  Wherever there’s a need, the Red Cross has always been there.  I can’t think of a better way to spend a weekend than to help them raise the needed funds to continue their valiant efforts,” said Schneider.

Schneider is also granting the Red Cross exclusive rights to premiere his latest feature film, "Collier & Co." at the World Chicken Festival.  Schneider starred and directed the film, which will also be screened in select cities starting this Fall.  The premieres, where John will be present for in-depth Q & A session, will be held at the Regency Cinema 8 in London, Kentucky and Tri-County Cineplex in Corbin, Kentucky.

For more information about Schneider’s appearance at the World Chicken Festival or to purchase tickets for the autograph signings, photograph opportunity sessions, or benefit screenings, please contact the Southeastern Kentucky Chapter on the web at www.southeasternkyredcross.org or call (606) 878-6333.

Straight Creek

WORLD CLASS GOSPEL MUSIC STAGE
The group was formed with two vocals in 2001, when Ron and Vernon got together to do church signings. The other members have been added as the Lord provided. We do all gospel bluegrass because of our love of the mountain music, and our love of the work Jesus left for us to do. That is to be a witness of His love for all mankind. We give Him credit for the doors that have been opened to Straight Creek. We have done TV programs for most of the area TV stations, and a nationally televised Beattyville KY station. We have done programs at Renfro Valley for the past 3 or 4 years. We hope we can be a blessing to those who hear us, and we are grateful for all of the support and encouragement that we have received.
